What Is LUBA?
LUBA Association is a non-profit trade association representing the interests of small businesses in the state of Louisiana. LUBA lobbies the state legislative and executive governing bodies and maintains relationships with the regulatory agencies that affect small businesses in Louisiana. LUBA is also an educational resource for Louisiana businesses. Benefits of membership include:
- Access to affordable and reliable workers' compensation insurance through LUBA Workers' Comp, an A-rated insurance carrier.
- LUBA's regular newsletter, Issues and Answers, explains legislation and regulations that affect your business's bottom line.
- LUBA acts as a liaison between state agencies and your business. When you are having trouble getting results at the state level, our staff can assist you.
- The "Space Saver" is a labor law poster that contains all the legally-required state and federal employment notices. Provided free to LUBA members, the poster is updated when necessary to keep you in compliance with the law.
- LUBA's additional member services include: bill tracking, low-cost educational seminars and conferences, and access to our legislative and regulatory research team.
The presence of state government in Louisiana businesses is unavoidable. Your LUBA Association membership, however, can make this burden easier to comply with and less intrusive.
